Gisagara: Rwf50M for roads repairs
About Rwf50 million has been allocated to repairing roads in the Gisagara district budget, starting with the Rango-Nyaruteja road, that connects the district to Huye.
Rango-Nyaruteja road repairing works will start in February, 2014 under Umurenge Vision Program (VUP).
The road is mostly used by traders to purchase and sell goods between the two districts.
The road was destroyed by heavy rains, the road’s bad shape doubles traveling hours for trucks and vehicles.
“Kansi sector administration will repair the road, along with other roads in the district,” Hesron Hategekimana, vice mayor for economic affairs in Gisagara district says.
Gisagara district will repair other roads that connect sectors like Huye-Kibirizi, Mugombwa-Mukindo, Ndora-Kirarambogo-Muganza and Kibirizi-Kansi.
